Yesterday, I went to Disneyland with my sister and her friend/coworker. We wanted to go early to ride the new Toy Story Mania ride at California Adventure as well as hit rides fast, which in general was pretty easy to do at 8 o'clock in the morning. My sister and her friend invited one of their fellow friend/coworkers as well but we didn't meet up with her until about 11am, and we hung out together until about 3:30pm when I met Tim.

The main reason for me requesting the day off and inviting my sister and her friends along was because Tim had asked me to be his date to Disneyland about a month ago. He would be there for work (his store reached 100% of its goals and all stores that accomplished that were treated to an afternoon/evening at Disneyland). I met up with him then, introduced him briefly to my friends -although I didn't say that my sister was my sister- and then went off with him.

His parents (dad and stepmom) wanted to meet me, and so we met around 5:30pm and had dinner at the House of Blues, and later separated to go on our way - riding several rides and walking around. Tim was quiet for the majority of the date, and if he's anything like me, it was because he was thinking about things (although he told me it was because the weather was hot and I teased him that that would be the way to keep him quiet was to make sure it was hot).

We talked a lot about various things, the major thing was our relationship - which is definitely more than just "friendship". We're dating, yes, and I'm pretty sure we're boyfriend/girlfriend although I'm not sure if there was ever an official designation of that (I suppose I could ask him if we are), and he asked me why I wanted him. I told him that I like spending time with him, that I think he has potential and ambition, and that perhaps I am just naively optimistic but that I believe in him too. He wondered if I was really ready for a relationship because he felt there is a difference between moving and progressing slow than being stuck on a page; and I told him that it felt like he was ready to dive head first while I was treading water. He doesn't want to waste time basically and he wants to know if we're heading in the same direction; that is, he wanted to know if what he wants (a long lasting relationship that will eventually end in marriage) is what I wanted. Not that ours would necessarily end there but that if I'm just dating to date, he's already been there / done that and isn't interested in just "dating".

I told him that since my break-up that I hadn't been thinking about relationships in that sense, that I would be perfectly happy being single or at least that was what I was gearing my life to; for me, I would like to find "the one" or at least have a significant other, but it wasn't a goal or ambition necessarily. To him though, he doesn't want to be alone; he wants to find "that person" and I could be that person. He said that of course, we would always be reevaluating our relationship as it goes and he understands that it is all "new" to me but as long as we have the same goals, he would continue to pursue me.

I told him that I thought about the future -like what would it be like if we were married (and he wasn't scared about that)- and about children (maximum two, although we are both fine with having none at all as well) and about sex in the relationship. He feels sex is important, although I don't really since I've never had sex so it's not weighing heavily in my mind, and about protection and so forth.

Later, he said he thinks he's falling for me and I told him that I think I am falling for him too. And it's scary. And he agreed.

And now my brain is buzzing because of all we talked about... and now I have to leave and will try to edit in more later but... *dies*

Wow... I haven't updated in a while...

At first, there was nothing new. I mean, work is work and lately I've been working all late-shifts so it was not "new" right? Last week was three 2-10:30pm and two 12-8:30pm shifts, and this week will be one 11-7:30pm, two 2-10:30pm, and (BLAH) two midnight-8:00am shifts (and I will bet good money that I will not get to leave at 8am on the dot because the supervisor who is scheduled to come in at 8am to take over is ALWAYS LATE!) :P. On the work front, surprisingly one girl quit. She was an all right person / average worker, and I might have had a few complaints about her but it wasn't like I hated her; it just sucks because of the timing - because they haven't hired her replacement yet - so we are short. *SIGH*

I did buy her a cake for her last day -- wow, is it me or are they getting expensive? I went just to an ordinary supermarket and it cost $15 for something small. Of course, I haven't bought premade cakes in forever but I thought Costco was $12 for twice the size. And btw, ice cream cakes (or is it just Baskin Robbins?) are EXPENSIVE too. But I don't think they've increased as dramatically since the past? Weren't they in the low $20s before and now they are high $20s? Anyways, the cake was white with banana cream and whipcream and actually wasn't bad.

OH AND I HAD LAST SATURDAY OFF! I almost forgot to post that! I had requested it off and was approved and so... my sister and I went to see "Wicked" (!!!!) at the Pantages. We had lunch at Hollywood/Highland -The Kodak- Center and then saw the matinee. I like it much better than "Phantom of the Opera"; I guess I just like the plot better. *hides from Opera fans*

This is a doujinshi (sort of like a fan-made comic book) art circle in Japan that drew books with Sailor Moon characters. I liked their books because they drew things that could have happened in the Silver Millenium (aka Sailor Moon's past). They placed the Shitennou (the Four Kings, who were depicted in the manga as Prince Endymion's -aka Tuxedo Mask's- protectors; much like how Sailor Moon / Princess Serenity had Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus as her protectors, these four guys - Jadeite, Nephlite, Zoisite, and Kunzite - were his protectors) with these girls. I'm a romantic (unrequited love/tragedy/etc) and I like het better than slash, so I liked them paired up that way.

This stands for "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon" which is the live-action form of Sailor Moon. It features Keiko Kitagawa (who most everybody on my flist associates with Jackie now ;)) who played Rei / Sailor Mars. It came out in 2003, but I still like watching it from time to time.

rayearth
This is another anime; its full name is Magic Knight Rayearth. I think I watched it back in 1996, after I started getting into anime (Sailor Moon was my first anime love). I think it is one of the only other animes that I've watched completely.

This came from a meme where it asked us who our BNF was. I had no idea what BNF stood for, and Ali and Rho told me that it stood for "Big Name Fan" -which I was still confused about (what is a "Big Name Fan"?). When Rho answered the meme, she said Ali was my BNF. The "don't be gross" part is part of her answer to being shipped in my lj.

This is from PGSM (*points to above*) where Nephlite became human and there was a little hint of a possible friendship/relationship between he and Ami (Mercury). When she was possessed by the dark side (for lack of a better term), she helped him. When he turned good, he remembered what she did; she however did not remember what she did when she was possessed. (yes, dramallama)

This is from Star Trek: First Contact (I think), and the doctor is a holographic image program. The real doctor was trying to get her patients and herself away from the Borg, and had to activate the program to use as a decoy. He states, "I'm a doctor... not a doorstop," when she tells him to stop/stall the Borg. It was quite amusing. (Yes, I'm a nerd.)

Long Beach

Nothing really new to report. My off days this week are Wednesday and Saturday (Saturday because I had requested it months ago and it was approved a couple weeks ago), but all my work days are the late shifts. Ah well. I'm pretty much getting used to it.

Star Wars -the Original Trilogy, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, Ever After... oh wait, they only wanted "a" movie as in one. Yes, I have no life.

Batman Returns (yes, the movie with Michael Keaton and Michelle Pfeiffer -- I admit I was a nut when I was younger, and yes, I still am whacked). Hmm... nothing else really comes to mind as I usually don't pay to watch it multiple times in the theater; I usually buy the video (or nowadays, the DVD) and THEN watch it multiple times at home.

Graveyard - done. yay! It would be more "excited" but I'm tired. Today starts a stretch of late night shifts though... and I'm still tired (though it's more because of *cough* well... the girls on my flist would understand :P).

Last night, I went out to dinner with my sister. It was nice, but I am not an alcohol drinker (the ones I only like are the ones that don't taste like alcohol, like the fruity drinks) and I thought I'd try a Sangarita (it's supposed to be a cross between Sangria and Margarita) which was more like red wine. Ech. Not my type of drink. I'd rather have a Lava Flow (strawberry, coconut, pineapple, and a tiny shot of whatever liquer or vodka). :D
