Real Life update:
I went on the interview that I had mentioned a couple weeks ago. I think I did okay, but I don't think I did too well on the written-portion (the dreaded 'test'). The interviewers said it wasn't a crucial step; it is more like they want to see where you are in terms of knowledge-level and where they would have to train you. Basic interview questions -- like 'why do you want to work here?', 'why should we hire you?', 'what are your strengths and weaknesses?', 'how would you handle yourself in such-and-such a situation?'. My mother thinks I did well; I guess she's surprised at how much I've matured and grown (since in her eyes, I will always be a tiny baby that she loved way back then).
Is it me or did HE explode with sorting applications? I think I sorted everyone, but it's like tons (okay, I'm exaggerating) of applications almost everyday. At least, I've already sorted my 'fill' for the next three weeks... but still! I am so tempted just to SQUIB everyone so I can get back to life. I guess that's not very Hufflepuff of me though... so I muddle through the apps just like everyone else. It's nice that the RPG is finally starting... although I still need to email sevarem about Ludo/Dorcas interaction. I am so happy that Dorcas gets to be Lily Evans' best friend. ^_^ At least, that means I'll have some sort of plot there.
As for HH, I'm tempted to just sit down tomorrow and write all my lesson plans (and post them privately to my journal) just so I'll have them all done. I know anndee123 reminded me to post today, but while I was on this morning, it completely slipped my mind. Luckily, I had already worked on the plan a few days ago, so I just had to copy/paste/post. I am happy, though, with the participation. I think I have more students in my class than I've seen in the first three classes. (Although I am a bit surprised at how much math I've had to correct... though this isn't an insult to any of you - as I've had to double-check and triple-check myself to make sure my answers are correct too!) I'm also working on our Ravenclaw house pic, but I didn't realize there was a deadline for it. I thought it was a group project for the entire term (meaning 3 months), kind of a work-in-progress. Or at least, perhaps the deadline could be extended since the past few weeks have been hectic for most (as they had final exams, school ending, summer vacation starting, real life family vacations, etc.).
HiH is a bit more calm. Not as many apps as HE, thankfully. And so far, Ravenclaw looks like we're leading in the points too. So, that's always nice.
